Thanked: 6Robeson Shuredge
Hey Gents! I have had a Robeson "razor that fits yer face" for a couple of years now. I got it back before I was even into SR shaving, because I started out as a pocketknife collector, and I was very familiar with Robesons cutlery. I recently had one honed by Glen, but haven't used it yet. As I understand, the kinfolks, Geneva and other New York based razor manufacturers had awsome razor steel. Does the Robeson share the same qualities? BTW I sent this razor along with another (W&B Special) I've already tried the W&B, it was great. Now It's just a waiting game to let my whiskers grow out enough to give the Robeson a run. I grow impatient with my stubble!!!

Thanked: 884A RESOUNDING YES!
Robeson's razors were excellent as were their pocketknives.
Give it a try. I've got one that does a great job for me and I don't care for full hollows.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Thanked: 334I also have a Robeson Shur Edge, and it's my favourite, "go-to" blade in my stable!

If you judge by the prices on the bay, Robeson's would have to be among the most underrated and under appreciated razors out there. I have two and both are spectacular shavers. One is for tough beard and sensetive skin, the other is a bellied hollow/double concave grind. The bellied hollow is one of those "special shavers" for me.

I rest my case.
