The few Joseph Rodgers i came across with the Depew look alike tail and blade shape were both marked "Cutler to their majesties". That said the stamp means Victoria & Albert reign but to add to the confusion Albert died in 1861 and Victoria didnt remove his name from their reign, her reign ended in 1901.
Makes dating a Rodgers very difficult during Victoria reign because its such a large time frame (60+ years). Also the Rodgers Depew look alike, one of them had the England stamp, so that would make that one post 1891, the other one didnt..........
About Depew , "The Perfect Razor" 1882. The company located in England and USA, could it be that Depew was just a distributor of these razors. Perhaps they were all made by Rodgers?
