Thanked: 116Bismarck Solingen 702 razor
So I got this the other day and cleaned it up. Seems to me that it's a 6/8 half hollow ground Bismarck from before the time that DOVO purchased the bismarck trademark.I honed it up last night and shaved this morning and absolutely love the razor. There is slight honeware as there is just over 5/8's now. The razor had a few spots of rust and one spot that pitted the rear face of the blade but nothing that would degrade the quality of the cutting edge or steel. Pics will follow tonight, as I'm at work right now (on military time lol).I can only find ONE other example of this razor and it's on ebay right now, in worse shape than mine.Does anyone have information about this manufacturer? About the razor specifically? I've seen Bismarck's with 'bismark registered' and just 'bismarck' and, like the one I have, 'bismarck solingen'.All the other examples of bismarcks i've seen only have 2 pin scales. Mine has 3 pins and heavy black bakelite scales.
