Thread: Noob here - W.R. Case w/ Blond scales

I just started on this forum and wished I had found it earlier I'm just getting into SE shaving and started with an old W.R. Case razor. Don't know much about it other than it's definitely not shave ready. I figured that out after 3 attempts! Coolest things about it is that a) it's a Case and I love case knives, and 2) it cost me a whooping $15. I've since ordered a new Dovo Best Quality 5/8 1/2 hollow SE from SRD and I'm hoping to compare and contrast what a real shave ready razor should feel like.

I'd like to add the Case into my rotation once I get my Dovo as well, so I'd like some advice on whether I should just get it honed or if I should get it fully restored. Is it going to be shave-ready with a proper bevel and honing? Here are some pics!
