Thanked: 0T.Turner razors
i received a pair of T.Turner razors. the markings on the blade are as follows:
one side: T.Turner & CO. Sheffield for A&NCL
The other side: "Sharper Than A Serpent's Tooth"
They are in great shape in their own case. I use them in the mix of my other other razors.
any history anyone can give me i would appreciate it.
thank you

Thanked: 1587These would be Thomas Turner I'd imagine. There is a fair amount of information available here and in other places on Thomas Turner & Co. It would be a good exercise for you to search it out for yourself.
It is a guess, but I would hazard that A&NCL are the initials of some company, organisation, or perhaps individual.

I believe A&NCL stands for Army&Navy Co-operative stores Ltd its to do with military issue. I have an Encore and faintly scratched in the spine is the owners service No hope that helps

It would be helpful to post pics. The general shape of the blade, the scale material, the font of the blade imprint can all provide useful information. I'd love to see the case also.
