    Default flat back and frameback

On the site of classicshaving.com I was looking at the wonderfull Thiers Issard razors (art deco handles aso). But then my eye got by the listings of: "flat back" and 'frameback". Now I think I know what a frameback is... but what is a flat back? The same?
Furthermore, do you think a frameback is a better shaver of a heavier beard?

    thanks, michel

The razor that classic shaving sells as a TI Frameback is not a frameback. I have it. It has a standard back just very heavy but definately not a frameback but a very nice razor nonetheless. I've never heard of a flatback before. Sounds like a deformed person.

I've tried a few of the genuine old framebacks by Thiers Issard and they shave amazingly, tried a Dorko frameback and it was wonderfull too...but then My 6/8 Worldmaster, 7/8 Thierss issard and 5/8 Krusius are amazing too....

I'm affraid I don't have any framebacks at the moment otherwise you could have one a a loaner or a try before you buy razor.
