Interesting find, perhaps
Gold Gem Sr straight razor. I've seen scads of Gold Gem Jr safety razors, but I didn't realize there was a Sr version. The logo and lines on the tang are gold plated. The pin area of the blade is also gold plated and is corrosion free. I couldn't find any references to this razor, so I thought I'd share.

Nice one! Does it say anything on the backside tang? I doubt it has anything to do with GEM SE's, but wonder who made it?

There you have it! Probably German made for that hardware concern. It does resemble American makers, however. If it does not say Germany or Solingen, it might be from New York!

Looking at it closer and there is also gold plating in the jimps and the steps on the blade. Anywhere rust is likely to start.
