Thread: Buy a Belgium/France Straight Razor?

Hey all,
I'm taking a trip to Brussels/Mons Belgium soon and I was hoping to pick up a nice straight razor, preferably Belgium made, while I'm there. Does anyone know of a place in Brussels or Mons that sells good straight razors? If not, I'm heading to Paris that weekend and I'd be willing to pick up one there, preferably french made. I plan on using it to shave with, and to eventually pass down, so I'm hoping to get something is quality. I wish I could be more specific but unfortunately my knowledge of straight razor brands is extremely narrow and focuses mainly on German and Japanese made razors, so I thought maybe someone could help.

There are no currently produced Belgian blades. Frankly, your best bet is to get a blade over the web, already sharpened etc. Take a look at this thread. Having said that, have a good time while you're there, I'd be surprised if there wasn't somewhere in Brussels selling razors (the flea-markets are great too), don't know Mons at all other than a sign on the motorway.

I will be visiting Paris next month and I plan on trying to get to here, Produits de rasage de luxe, rasoirs lectriques et mcaniques de luxe and maybe buy a Thiers Issard razor or something else.
