Dubl Duck Pearlduck?
Hello SRP,
I was wondering what people's opinions are of Dubl Duck razors. I just won a Mint cond. Pearlduck Dwarf on ebay and am really excited, as I understand that Dubl Ducks are a sought-after razor maker. Am I correct in this regard?
You'll have to excuse my "newb-ness" btw...I am new to the world of SR shaving, so I'm still getting to know what's good & what isn't. I paid $80 for the Pearlduck which I feel is a reasonable price, so hopfully I didn't get ripped off!! Pics are below. Thanks for any input you may have!

Looks real nice. Barbers I knew back in the '80s highly regarded dubl ducks. Shavers today do too. For the condition of that razor I would say it was a good buy, particularly if it is shave ready. If not check out 'member services' in the SRP classifieds to have it pro honed.

I think you'll like it! I have several, including a dwarf and they are very good shavers. I've muted the point on all of mine since I don't have any fine trimming to do and really don't like that little hazard hanging out there ready to strike. Enjoy it, and as Jimmy said, if it's not shave ready, best to get it honed. Links below.

I only have one of them, but it is one of my favorite shavers. I just can't afford more right now. Good snag, enjoy it.
Any day on this side of the flowers is a good day!

Thanked: 52I have a Dwarf and it is an excellent shaver and keeps a good edge. Although I like a bigger razor sometimes. it's size makes it easier to maneuver. One of my favorites.
+1 on getting it honed; check out the venders here.
Nice acquisition.

Thanks for the info guys!! I'm excited to get it...I have recently been honing & had really good luck putting a killer edge on on my Boker, so I'm half tempted to try and hone it myself. Then again, it would be nice to see how much better a honemeister's hone job would be! Especially on something nice like the Duck...
I will probably end up sending it out to be quite honest....I'd be afraid to mess up a really nice blade!!
