Cosmetics:
I love it. I love seeing it in my cabinet lol! It just stands out compared to all others! Of all the blades I own (not that many), it looks the coolest. No question.

Handling:
You would really think that a small blade like this wouldn't handle well. Not the case. The balance isn't that of a traditional blade, and were you to compare it to a traditional blade, you would be doing yourself a disservice.

If fits in you hand very well, and maneuvering it across your face is a pleasure. The balance is a little forward, but somehow that lends itself to the shave with that smile it sports.

If you don't like wide blades though - this is not the blade for you! It's spine isn't the thinnest thing I have ever seen, and the scales aren't the thinnest either. This could be an illusion because of its short size, but I don't think so. I don't have calipers though - sorry.

It really feels like it's built like a tank. I don't know how to describe it very well - but it's "girth" is kind of cool! It does not feel fragile at all!

The Blades Smile:
Gents - that little blade with it's smile is totally awesome. It really gets "in there." My jaw line of all places was hard at first, but no worry's. It gets my cleft under my bottom lip and above my chin like no other - as well as that tough area I have just under my chin.

I like the smile allot not only because it's the only smiling blade I have and because it makes it look cool - but because it really provides a different kind of shave i am used too. But it does takes a little getting used to. I don't want you to get me wrong here - you can use it out of the box and be fine with it - seriously, but I found it took a little mastering.

The Steel:
Look - I don't feel comfortable in this area as I know nothing about steel - nothing. So here is my subjective opinion. The blade as mentioned isn't thin. It lends itself to a different feel. The best I can describe it was my first shave with my kami. It seemingly mows vs. slices. That's not bad - at all, just different. I hope that makes sense? It's sharp!

All said and done:

Look - I like this thing. I like it because it looks cool, and it's still very functional! I say that because only paintings can get away with just looking good in my world anymore.

It shaves very well! It takes a bit of time to master, and presents issues that aren't issues with other razors - yet eliminates those things other razors present.

It's a keeper! I find myself using it when I have a little more time than normal now though. Not because it can't do a quick shave - I can, but because I enjoy... "enjoying it" lol!!

I am well pleased!

It's good to get something cool and then love it. I am wondering if when using a smiler, do you have to hold the blade more flat against your face ? Less angle ?

Yeah I don't know lol... Anymore I just shave? I'll pay attention next shave.
