Default J. Bestgen & Co Boston Mass Inventor Razor Pivot 1892.

    J. Bestgen & Co Boston Mass, a company of Barbers supplies, grinding and concaving of razors, manufacturer of the celebrated diamond
"King of all razors" the best in the world. Mr Bestgen invented a razor pivot pin that is easily installed and removed with the help of a small wrench. Designed to overcome the sharpened edge to touch the scales on closing, and to make scales replacement trouble free
    from pinning the razor.

Yes it is, it reminds me of a quick disconnect from the front wheel of a bicycle. Apparently his invention did not take on very well since nobody replied yet with "I was wondering what that was".
