Thanked: 12I'm in love...
[COLOR=#333333]I am completely smitten! I snagged this beauty for $17. Most might think it was $17 wasted but it is a thing of pure manliness to me. The scales look to be from a stick that was hewn in twain and pinned together with very little shaping. The pinning is so tragically old that I am not even willing to tighten up the hinge pin in fear of marking it's glory. The blade is a full on wedge and has no bad hone marks under that amazing coloring. She is a thing of beauty and will be honed and shaved with just how it is. No need to mess with perfection!!! Truth be told razor's like this is what my rotation would be filled with if I could find more of them. Some man in the bush busted his W&B and knew what to do. He walked into the yard and grabbed a stick. He cut it in half and made the ends round and made some gnarly holes and pinned with what he had. Swoon... I'm in love....

Thanked: 580I like it as is too, been admiring the older razors lately, something about the unknown history behind them is quite appealing.

Thanked: 1936I wouldn't do a dang thing to it but use it. Have her honed up and dance the night away!! Those old wedges may take three layers of tape and a hanging strop, but once it's properly made shave ready you will really fall in love with the shave...no noise or feedback, just squeegy the shave cream & whiskers away!
