Default Flic Favorite - Any information available?

I just got back from Holiday in New Zealand, and whilst away I picked up (among other things) this straight from a local antique store.

I had a rummage through what he had, and when I saw this one, I wanted it! not sure why, but it appealed to me!

Got it home, cleaned it, honed it, shaved with it. Shaves very nicely.

I'm trying to find out some information on it, but not having much luck.

The etching on the blade is intact, the first pic is actually showing a but of left over soap from when I used it!

Back side of the blade is engraved with "Made in Germany from best Flic Silver
    steel"

Is anyone able to tell me anything about this razor, how old it may be, and the brand in general?

I don't know the brand but looks like a nice piece. You are lucky to get it in good enough shape to shave without having to hone it. There are a few members here who are straight razor historians. When one of those sees your post if there is any information on "Flic" they will have it and post it. With the exception of Thiers Issard I don't think any 'modern' razor mfg has stamped 'Silver Steel' on their blades in like 50 or 60 years. So that one has been well preserved.

FLIC was a trademark of THE FLIC RAZOR CO. Ltd. , an Export Company of the famous razor maker Max Voos, Solingen, Germany.

It needed honing, and the edge had many tiny little chips on it, but it cleaned up nicely after some time on the coticule, bevel set nicely, and honed it up essentially using a dilucot process followed by my c12k with water and a good stropping
