Thanked: 0Hopefully a good find Fromm and Spear?
last week i had my first RAD experience, i went to an antique store with the wife and i saw in a little corner some razors, some expensive and these two, One is a Fromm Special and the other is a spear, both with original handles the spear is a little smaller but when i picked it up it was shaving arm hair, they had another one just like it for 15 are they worth even that? I got them both the Fromm and spear for under 35, im wondering if i did ok and any thoughts from you fine gents? I've been reading and i read that some Fromm razors might not be so good unless they are vintage ones. I cant distinguish but they looked good and semi sharp. Should i even consider send them for a honing? i did some polishing with 1000 grit sand paper for the photo and i was surprised to how they turned out.

My Spear is a fine shaving razor. It takes a fine edge and holds it well. I have no experience with Fromm but if it's vintage German my guess is that it would be a good blade.

You'll never know how good each one is without shaving with them. I would get them honed up and shave with them. If YOU like the way they shave you got a great deal and nice razors.
