    Unfortunately, it's impossible to say correctly which companies made razors for a great number of importers.
    Hardly ever to find documents that confirm that fact.
    We can only guess.

    This is just yacking I guess. But I've got a Premier Lifetime marked Sheffield Steel. It doesn't have a country of manufacture, but it's a great razor.

    Yea, I guess the importer just sourced razors from whomever gave a deal on a production run for them. Mind you Solingen makers did use Sheffield Steel too so country of origin could be Germany and not England as one would think when it is marked Sheffield Steel. Main thing is, like you say, that it is a good shaver.
