    Default Hen & Rooster

I Have just been given a straight razor it is not shave ready though but before I send it of to be honed and sharpened firstly i thought to ask you experts to find out if it is worth it on the blade it has engraved the name Hen & Rooster " Worlds Finest since 1845" do you guys think its worth getting it done? Many thanks ops forgot to say that also on the razor is the word Stamped SPAIN

If it's one of the old hen & roosters they were good razors. If it is one of the new ones, look for made in pakistan or china on the razor somewhere. If you see those, then don't waste the money it won't hold an edge. Pics would help though.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

That looks like one of the new ones. I do not know how well it will take and hold an edge, but I would suggest honing it and giving it a test shave.

Yea it's one of the newer ones. Some don't shave bad but that's the German ones made by Dovo. Later ones made in Spain I don't know.
