    Default Trenton Razor Co.?

I read that the Trenton Razor Co. was a trademark for Boker, but this razor just seems to plain for a Boker razor. It was cheap and thought I would take a chance. I have seen some of the USA made ones that looked plain, but nothing really as plain as this. There isnt any other marking other than Trenton Razor Co. The scales are basic and not smooth around the edges. Like they were just cut from a pattern and thrown on. The scales might not be original, but who knows. I guess though if it can take and hold an edge doesn't really matter. The edge looks good so far and is still capable to shave arm hair effortlessly, but will take it to some stones once I decide what I want to do with it. Any info or opinions would be appreciated.

    TRENTON RAZOR CO
    Trademark later used by Boker
    ca. 1880 - 1906
And it is also listed in the Boker trademarks as well.

Hmm my John Primble definitely looks Germanic.

Makes me wonder if it's a Boker in a funny dress.

I'm sure, it's the same (according books).
Trenton was in business until it was sold to Boker USA in 1906.
But possibly, the razor was made before that deal.

Yes Trenton Razor Co. thats why I was wondering if it was still Boker. Also like I said it looks rather plain for a Boker even though I have seen some plain USA made ones.

Hello! I'd hate to resurrect an old thread, but did it take a good edge? I ask because a friend of mine has one and asked me to make scales for it. Thanks!!
    Sippin' on some slurry.

As I remember it took a good edge, but I haven't used it for awhile now. I was planning on doing something with it since it looked so plain so it has been sitting in a box. I have since got finer finishers and I hope my honing has improved so I will have to take it to the stones again and see what kind of an edge it can take. Thanks for reminding me. I need to dig this one out and compare my edges then to now. I think I have a couple other razors that haven't been used since then either. Will be a good test to see if my honing has improved. Will have to check the edges first though, but they were sitting in a dry box with some desiccant so shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully.
