Question Okay so who's got a razor/scales with blackwood scale or something similar?

    Hey guys,
It's Mike again. So I really want a razor with of course a good blade but with some kind of blackwood scale or a wood that is laquered black but you can still see the grain of the wood. Anybody got one or got pics to share would love to see it and see if it's all I think it would be? Thanks guys.

    Mike

okay not what I'm invisioning. I'm thinking something that is almost a smoked laquered finish to where there is like hard graining under it not like a straight black like black paint you know? Am I off based or just making something up lol.

Mike, I'm actually finishing up a set now out of ziricote (I think) that looks very glossy black. The razor's gonna be a half hollow Middleton (Sheffield 6/8 spike. The wood has a very interesting grain, like coarse hair...you almost have to see it. I also just got in a block of African blackwood. I'm contracting with a cabinetmaker to resaw it for me. And I've got a buttload of blades lying around. If any of this sounds like your cup o' tea, PM me.
