Well depending on its condition, Swedish razor especially vintage are very good shavers, Joh Engstrom framebacks are top notch!

I have to agree with Martin, I love framebacks, or any decent razor, but the Swedes excel.

Pretty much if the razor is in good shape you can't go wrong with any Swedish blade. The Swedish blade makers had some of the best steel around at the time they where making razors. Combine that with the master having been trained in England and you have a combo hard to beat.

I have a couple of Swedish razors and really enjoy shaving with them. Good steel and a keen edge make for a great shave.

Well i did buy it from Whippeddog.com so i have full confidence the razor will be in shaving condition. I Also love frame back, i have a wade and butcher "Celebrated Rattler" the only down side is they are challenging when trying to establish an edge.

Frameback straight's have their own special place in the world of razors. I have several of them and a seven day set. While I don't shave with them very often, every now and then I will grab one and test my skills. For me, they are kind of like a shavette. One slip and I have a nick on a small scar above my lip! For me, while not used often, I still like them, and wouldn't get rid of any of mine.
Very Best, and Happy Shaving, John
