Default Anyone know about KAMA vintage razors?

I was wondering if any of you can tell me about a vintage Solingen firm named KAMA who used to make razors. Or if any of you can direct me where I might search for info on this.

I think KAMA was a line name. The company that made them was Koch & Schaefer.

Joe is right, Koch & Schaefer. I have one with the same handles, 7/8, but the blade is toast, now it's the shank's width. I keep it for reference...

You'd be right, Lynn. It was a Wald company, out of Solingen.

Here's a link to an item on ebay-Italian style. LINK You can see Wald-Solingen on the box.

I was just curious if it was a good company/razor or not, and if anyone had any experience with them. It caught my eye, and I like it's look. I just hope it shaves well, since it wont be sitting on a shelf in a collection cabinet.

PS - Lynn, the razor in the picture is the one I'm going to be sending you for honing.

It may just be the picture, or my bad eyes, but is that blade not chipped towards the heel?

These razors generally hone up to be very nice shavers. Most of the older German razors are really excellent.
