    Default my little Packwood

picked this up the other day ,all the packwoods ive saw ( all on here except for this one ) seem to be full or near wedges , and look a lot older then this one .. i can see even grind marks on the tang under magnification and im gonna assume with what little knowledge i have that this blade was a regrind or not as old as the info dates these blades to be in what little info ive found ( all on here ) have another pics of straight on of the toe but it didnt upload , ill add it when it does

I'd say it has been reground and given a new lease on life.

You can see where the angle changes from the tail to the tang to the stabilizer. I've seen this a lot, where a razor was given more of a shoulder and hollowed. It's old, I'd say 1830s or 40s based on blade shape.

I've got a feeling this little blade is going to find itself more heavily rotated than some others. I'd also guess it's been reground, and done well. I'll bet it's a great shaver! Congrats!

I have 1 Packwood and it is a wedge. I would not have it reground so I have ran it on my hone a dozen times or so and it shaves well but could be better. I will keep doing this til it's a great shaver. Wedges are a pain for me to get perfect. Good score on this one.
