Thanked: 0Looking for some information on these....
Hi to everyone. I've been going through some of my fathers auction boxes and came across these. If anyone could shed some light on them regarding what year they were made etc. Thought the one blade was unique with the Black Cat Tobacco on the blade, the other I believe has the word Peerless on the gold part of the blade.
Thanks everyone for your time.

Thanked: 3164I had one of the black cat razors - very good shaver. The owner of a tobbacconists in London's Wardour Street - Don Jose - had a black cat that slept in the shop window. It became very popular and was known as the 'black cat shop' and the mark was registered by Carreras Tobacco Company, the first cigarettes of the Black Cat brand coming out in 1904. For more detailed info see here.
Regards,
Neil

Thanked: 3224Thanks for posting those. Can't help with any info but I do remember Black Cat smokes from when I was younger so that is an interesting razor to me. I have a Wostie Peerless square point that is a good shaver so you are fixed up pretty good there.
