duble ducks
What are the differences between the satin edge, the gold edge, and the wonderedge of the dubl ducks?

What I mean to clarify is, the #1 special seems to be the simplests/cheapest, with cream-colored scales. The Satinedge is the next simplest with clear scales (although they yellow with age), and then it seems like the gold edge, and then the best is the Pearlduck Wonderedge with it's pearl-like scales. All but the wonderedge seem to be made of Soligen steel, whereas the Wonderedge is made of Swedish steel that is cryogenically treated for hardening.
The Wonderedge has a harder blade, so it is harder to hone, but the edge lasts longer.
here's a link to a *mint* Wonderedge on ebay. LINK
And here's a link to a very good Wonderedge. LINK
What confuses me is that this Goldedge is selling for more than the very good Wonderedge. LINK
Are there any other differences besides the scales? I'm thinking more about shave quality than asthetics.

The prices that Dubl Ducks go for still astound me. I'd say go for the cheapest one. I hear they're all amazing.

I believe a Goldedge is just a Satinedge with different stamping and then gold washing on the tang. Wonderedges are different as they're ice hardened.
I have a Satinedge (honed by Lynn) and until I got a Weyersberg from Joe Chandler recently it was my best shaver by far, it shaves nicer than my Maestro or my TI Damascus.
If you're after a great shaver find a cheap one with a good blade, mine had warped scales so I had some new ones made for it by Gary. I would never sell this razor.

it's purty.
the new scales are a beaut. That's your $40 blurry-picture special, eh? Good job.
