Dovo 6/8 Best Quality
My SRD Christmas gift arrived today.
Dovo 6/8 Best Quality with Black Scales.
This razor has completely spoiled me!!
I was in such a rush, and excited, that even with minimal prep, the shave was amazing.
Just proves that good equipment, honed by The Great One goes a long way in making the task easier and more rewarding.
I can't wait for my stubble to return and attack it again!

Ok, but I'm never going to be confused with a photographer.

Congratulations!! This was also one of my first straight razors when I started. And to this day, I love this razor. I've never had a bad shave with it. Re-freshed it a couple times on diamond treated felt, and on my 12,000 Naniwa, and it keeps an awesome edge. You'll enjoy it!

Thanked: 57I concur that these are excellent blades. I like them so much that I bought 3 of them new. Once touched up to get the factory roughness off, they are a smooth shave. I also like the bigger size because they are easier to control on the skin and on the strop. You will grow to love that razor. Have fun!

That's a great SR. I have the same one at 1/2 hollow. It was my first new razor and it's the one that I use most often. Enjoy!
You can take the boy out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the boy.

I would chime in w/ JBT. On most levels they're excellent. When you factor in cost - they're really impressive. Of the 7 I've honed, 3 has some minor warp or wave, but none so bad they won't take a fine edge. I have a couple of $290 blades that have worse warp & wave than any dovo I've handled. That 6/8 just feels good in my size XL hands.
If you're already shaving w/ it - you know. As you can hear from others, even after you have other blades, you'll keep liking the reliability of that DBQ. Enjoy.
