    Default clauss raror need help?!

my gf bought this razor at an "antique" store the blace has a small chip and is in generally very poor shape. overall a very attractive package tho i have never seen a handle like this at least not on an antique and the blade in general seems to be of a much lesser quality in comparison with othe rrazors i owned that were recently stolen i believe the folks at the shop may have taken advantage of her good nature and lack of knowledge on the topic please help! posibility of repair? age? scale material? all info will help thanks!Name: pics 059.jpg

These are great shavers. Get it honed up and enjoy using it.

    Have fun.

Really can't tell much from the pics. It really depends on how much steel needs to be removed to repair the chips.

Like Lynn said better pics would be good, or better yet send it out to get it all honed out and do it right without more damage. I have had them worse than what I see and have made great shavers out of them. If they are too bad then anyone on this site will tell you so before doing anything else.

Clauss razors are very good razors and personally I like the looks of yours with the covered tang and matching scales.

I have one very similar to that and those blades shave wonderfully.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.
