    Default Question about a straight

I found a case ace. That appears to be in excellent condition both scales and blade. Seems a little pricey. Kind of a white mother of pearl handle. What do u guys know about the case straights? I love their knives so I am curious.

The vintage case family of brands is rather good. For example the Genco brand was once owned by case. That being said the modern case branded razor shaped objects are bad for shaving. A search on srp will give you several threads about them.

I have no idea about that models age, but if it is vintage and MOP I might be tempted by it.

Yep, all the vintage Case razors are very fine instruments. The ones made recently forget about.

Supposedly, the Case Ace was made from 1914 to 1920. One style had a gunstock shaped handle. Definately old stock if made in Bradford Pa.

Do you know what a good price on one would be?

We don't do valuations, that said I have paid from $5 to $40 for vintage razors on ebay. If you want a shave ready but low cost blade it can take a lot of patients. When I want to know what the current market value of something is I check ebay's completed listings.

I know valuations aren't done I was just looking for a roundabout or best guess so as not to overpay for something. Thanks though

I expected as much. But I didn't have any better guidance than what I had payed for other vintage blades.
