    Default Straight Points

    Hi again,
I read about people refering to French, Spanish, Barber, and other kinds of points on a straight. I can't find pictures of any of these (other than a French offered by Classic Shaving I think). What do they look like and also, what is their advantage/disadvantage. This may feed RAD,,, I hope.
    Regards,
    Zig

You may wish to review the help files as they contain some of the info on this. Here's a good one from Nenad: http://straightrazorpalace.com/compo...nload/gid,136/
    This should be a great start. Here's a lovely-looking Spanish point http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?t=8848 and here's a lovely specimen of a barber's notch razor http://straightrazorpalace.com/showt...ighlight=notch

As for advantages/disadvantages, it's mostly based on preference. Based on functionality, I'd pick a spike as it gives me most precision, but I have quite a few rounds, a Frenchie and a couple of Spanyards so it's not written in stone.

A small collection of photos or even a line drawing illustrating the different types of points would be a great addition to the help files. I've seen comparisons of spike, square, and round points, but adding in some of the less common points would be cool. Anyone have some good examples of each?
