    Default Boker Scales? Red Specks?

I got a Boker Red Injun that was shot, but I only wanted the scales for another razor. They are the bakelite with the tree embossed on them. Anyway when I was cleaning them up I noticed that there are red specks all over the scales and I was wondering if that is how the Red Injun scales are or all the the scales with the embossed tree. The specks are hard to see. I only noticed them under a bright light. I have been searching for a set forever for my model 1101. Anyone with a Red Injun noticed the red specks? Maybe I am just seeing things.

My red injun 101 with the 1915 tree on the tang, and the black scales, embossed with the tree logo, have no red specks. I feel cheated.

Hmm maybe its just a defect in mine. Like I said you can barely see them unless looking under the right light. Who knows maybe somehow while polishing them some dust got embedded in the scales. Anyway I can finally put some original looking scales on my 1101 that has been sitting in some beat up scales. Only bad thing is it is honed and I am expecting a cut or two.

Throw some scotch tape on the cutting edge and touch up when your done and you've removed the tape.
