look what the cat dragged in ....
well i spent the day working on this thing of beauty !! scales have a good crack in them that ive tried super glue , gorilla glue ect and put em in a vise with rubber jaws to repair , hours later i pulled it out of the vise opened the razor and pop my crack is back lol.. well i learned my lesson on the last set of home made wood scales when i took em off and didnt have the bigger pin/washers i need so these are staying on till they break off ( i think that isnt to far off though ..lol)
blade was hitting the inside of the scale so i got in there with the dremel and took out some of the wood since i didnt wanna risk tapping the pin and making the crack worse , then hit the brass with the wire wheel to bring them back , then sanded down the scales and stained them in English Chestnut stain , then sanded the blade down from 325-2000 , then set a bevel on the 1k and then to the 4-8k , i am very impressed how this thing took an edge , and after a few rubs on the strop 2morrow i hope to post a tale of how well it shaved in the SOTD thread ... and now i bring you my new W.
