Thanked: 2Does J.A Henckels Still manufacture Straight Razors?
Hello All,
I wanted to invest in a nice quality 2nd Straight Razor (I currently have a Dovo which is great) and so i know Henckels from their Kitchen Cutlery and that they used to make classic razors but cannot find any newer productions, do they still make them or is getting a vintage razor my only option?
thanks

Thanked: 2591Yes they do, but not of the same quality as the vintage ones.
You can find NOS vintage Henckels (fridours mainly) at great prices.Stefan

Thanked: 20Is it spelled Fridour or friodur? I find more google results under the second spelling but I have seen both all over this site!

The antique store Henckels I found delivers a superb shave (after introducing my newest addition to the Hone side of the family of course). I can't however, comment on their newer ones.

the newer ones look a little thicker and clunky IMO... I like the older fridours...
