Default Joseph Rodgers & Sons Razor

This is the first of several razors that I recently inherited. I am no authority on these so I am hopeful that I can get some information from this group that will help me. I am especially interested in finding out when this razor was manufactured. The inscription on the tang reads:
    JOSEPH RODGERS & SONS
    CUTLERS TO THEIR MAJESTIES
    No. 6 NORFOLK STREET
    SHEFFIELD
To the left of the title, there is a Maltese cross and a star. The scales look like dark horn or bone. This razor came to me in a case which reads: A.G. Allen - Boston
The former owner lived his entire life in the state of Massachusetts in the greater Boston area.

If you'll use the search on our forum, you'll find a lot of interesting info.

    Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield.

P.S. The razor was made before 1891.

Joseph Rogers & Sons are a very well known Sheffield maker. The scales are dark horn. It looks like it might also be a regrind. That's where they take an older, worn razor and put it through a new grinding process so the blade is re-profiled and the razor gets a new lease of life.

Thank you very much. I did look at the links but could not find the information regarding year of manufacture. manah, where did you find this info? Next is a pair of Brookes & Crookes straight razors. No lettering appears on the box, but

    BROOKES & CROOKES
    SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND

is inscribed on the tang. The scales look like ivory. Same information about the former owner.

Thank you very much for the links. I am still having trouble finding a link that will indicate the approximate year of manufacture. This last group of photos is a Clauburg Tonsorial Gem. This one is inscribed:

    F.A. CLAUBURG
    NEW - YORK
    MADE IN GERMANY

on one side of the tang, and

    TONSORIAL GEM

on the other. The scales also look like ivory. Former owner information same as my previous postings. Once again, I am curious as to the date this razor might have been manufactured.

Thank you. I had already perused this link, but was unable to find anything that would help me with the period of manufacture.
