    Default Is it worth it

I've found a Joseph Rogers and sons wedge razor.
The scales need replacing, it's a little rusty and there are some small chips in the blade.
I've been offered it for £7.
With the restoration work including new scales is it worthwhile or would I be better looking for a restored one?

I guess it depends of whether or not you can restore it yourself. If not it's not worth it.

I can do the blade clean up but I don't want to try and hone it.
I've had a look at strop shop and he does replacement scales for a reasonable price too.

I think I may just have it. Nice Sheffield square point/wedge. In no hurry for it so can spend a bit of time on the clean up.

£7 is a nice price,if you can clean him by your self. think there are a couple of guys in the uk that those hone this razor for you.
So £7 +the cost for honing and some time to clean up this razor, is it worth the £ ? thats on you!

I think I will buy it if only to save a nice old razor. It may be a bit of a lengthy process as we've other bits around the house demanding our money. Out of the bunch offered this was the best and the one that grabbed my attention.

It is the same type of razor another user has started another thread on.
