7/8 Maestro Takeda AS Damascus
The courier guy rang my doorbell this morning just as I was finishing shaving the 2nd pass with my 8/8 Weyersberg, so I ran to the door still covered in Tabac lather and signed for a much awaited package from Italy.
And here it is, probably the last high end razor I will buy for a long time. A 7/8 Maestro Takeda AS Damascus with olive wood scales.
I had wanted to get one with mammoth ivory scales like Lynn's, but the price is just too steep for me at the moment with possible job changes in the New Year. So I went for a really good blade, on basic yet lovely scales. I guess I could get it re-scaled sometime in 2007 if circumstances improve with my job.
Anyway here are a couple of photo's, sorry they aren't the greatest of quality but you get the idea.
Big thanks to Maestro Livi.

Drool. That is a work of art. I'd love to have one like that someday.

I don't know what it is about the Xmas season but people keep coming up with these ugly pieces that should be sent over to my place for proper disposal
I believe you have the address, Iwan

SUPER! Enjoy that baby for sure and tell us if Lynn is losing his sanity over these or if everything he says is true.

Well I'm planning to have my first shave with it tomorrow morning so I'm very much hoping it shaves as good as it looks, my other Maestro does so I don't expect this to be any different!
I'll report back.

The scales, I think, look great with the blade, I wouldn't rescale them.
It's a beautiful piece. I'm certainly jealous.
