Thanked: 0Anybody know what year my Gillette safety razor is from and any info about it
just bought this razor at the antique store for $9.50 my first safety razor. i used it twice so far and seems to leave a nice shave, but have nothing to compare it to. i tried to find info on it but came up with nothing. maybe someone knows what era its from or what style or model. any info on it would be much appreciated.

I believe it's from the first quarter of 1944, but that was after a quick search on my phone. I could be wrong.

It was sold as the Tech, and is still known as that. They are mild comfortable shavers and yours is a particularly nice example. The knurling on the handle is very attractive.

Thanked: 8what number does it have under the head? A0-Z9 Was in looking and they started with tech in 39 and stopped in 73 as far as i can read from date code side, so now we only need the letter and number from your gillette tech travel razor with knurled handle

1969 Tech and made in the USA. The handle is aluminum and it was sold as a "Sport Tech".

Thanked: 0i think i saw that one from there when i was trying to find out what this one was. the travel has a really short handle doesn't it? i want to try straight razing but want to get something pretty nice whether it be old or new and i know it will cost a lil dough. thanks for the info though and all the great tips i think i'll try a heavy adjustable razor too. heres a pic of mine is yours that big?
