I don't know if this has been asked or answered but what is the numbering on the tang of a henckels razor thank in advance

I'm guessing here, but perhaps it's the model number. That's the problem with straight razors, it's difficult to pin down facts. There's a lot of educated guess work as to age, model numbers etc. Sometimes even the manufacturer is in doubt.
