I've just picked up these 2 razors today.

The one on the top in the first photograph has what I think are horn scales and has En core, Thomas Turner & Co, Sheffield stamped on it and the second NON XLL, Joseph Allen & Sons Sheffield. It also has SPECIAL CONCAVE etched on the blade.

At least one of them has to go as a gift to my father in law once I've cleaned it and had it sharpened. I like both and have no idea which to keep. Both are still sharp enough to cut too!

Can anyone shed any light on them?

That Joseph Allen and Sons is a 6/8" ?....Nice wide blade.
Just on the strength of the first pic, I'd keep that one.

My Thomas Turner & Co is a great shaver, damn hard steel.
Are you going to use it?
If so, check them carefully for damage.

I'm really thinking about keeping the Thomas Turner. It just looks nicer to me, I like the shape basically.

Do a few test shaves with them before you decide, they both looks nice!
    Bigger is usually more expensive.
