    Default Karl Bruckmann Razor

Just wanted to see if anyone has any information about this eBay find of mine:

Karl Bruckmann square point, about 9/16" with bone scales and blued spine, tang, etc. The pictures on eBay weren't the greatest, but they looked pretty good. It was not advertised as shave-ready, but I only paid about $25 plus $4 shipping. The seller's history suggested he didn't regularly deal in straight razors. I think he frequents estate sales and picks up random things he feels may make a profit on eBay.

Anyway, it looked so good when I got it that I just did a light honing on the finishing side of my barber hone and stropped it. It shaves every bit as well as my only other razor, a Dovo Best Quality 5/8" blonde from SRD (I'm still a bit of a noob).

This Karl Bruckmann is marked Hohscheid - Solingen and has the faucet logo on it. Now, let's see if I can attach a few photos...

The box is also in very good condition considering age (something I have no idea about exactly). Any information any of you may have about these would be most welcome. Thanks!

I know I have seen one of these somewhere before. that razor is in fabulous shape!! even the coffin. wow! great score...Only problems I see are the scales. but to rescale it would be a very minor job. Congrats!!!!

Thank you! I do agree the scales aren't perfect, and the pins could use a slight tightening, but the overall condition is still good enough for nice shaves. Some day I'm sure I'll find some new bone scales and pins or have it done for me. I love DIY but if this turns out to be a rare razor ( I have no idea - thus my original post) I may not want to learn how to do a rescaling on this razor!

Those scales are bone if I'm not mistaken. I would leave it as is.
    Very nice razor!
