Default My first shave with my first Thiers-Issard

Tonight I got to strop her up and shave with her. WOW!! JUST WOW!! The razor just feels good in my hands. It is a slight bit heftier than the Dovo that I have been using and the blade definitely feels stronger and more solid. I like that. I guess part of that is going from a full hollow to a half hollow and plus the blade is just heftier and heartier. As far as any issues with craftsmanship, I see none. The inferior craftsman that works at TI must have been off the day this razor was made. The spine does not appear to have any uneven wear and the bevel seems equal on both sides and the heel appears to be in good shape. But then again, I am not a Chief Honemiester, I am just a professionally trained idiot. This is really a good, classy shaver. The only problem I have is that my beard does not grow fast enough so that I can shave again as soon as possible.

    I will name her, Jolene.

Welcome among TI lovers. Thay are great shavers, the hardest and stiffest steel I've ever tested. Don't rely on the factory bevel to judge the blade geometry. At TI there are skilled honemasters that would perfectly hone whatever blade.

I love my TI Super Gnome as well. Has always provided a close, comfortable shave.

I too love my TI in buckeye burl. Would love an Oakwing G or Spartacus in Ram's horn.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for TI razors. They certainly make great blades if you can look past the sloppy workmanship from scales to blades.
