Zn, it's made out of... Zink?
Haha, I guess not, it's probably a good razor but I don't know anything about it.
    Nice scales too!

Lol - yeah would be first in history made from zink

Scales, as far as I recognize, are made from ivory, but I can be wrong.
Still it requires some renovation, and sharpening - my grandpa wasn't too kind with it

I'm very keen on manufacturer, unfortunatelly my grandpa, took the secret of that blade, with him, and now won't tell anyone.

interesting, the trade mark looks like a "W" in a diamond the "125" and "Zn-F1" as the model correct?

also the scales are faux ivory most likely not real ivory, sorry. ivory might get scrimshaw embellishment but rarely painted and that style of painted scale was popular in the early 1900's.

You're right as to the symbols - on the other side there's an S along with again 125 number.

As to the scales I'm not an expert. My grandpa used to fight in WWII in polish army, it's possible he got the blade in that period - would that make any clue?

Is that massive hone wear on the spine on the fancy side, accompanied by a wide bevel? The spine almost looks ground off right? I am not picking on the razor I am just trying to understand and visualize common terms used here. I like the razors shape and the scales are nice.
    Aloha,

I know I've seen those makers marks before, but like syslight I can't find where. I do think there could be a Polish connection. That just seems right. But I could be wrong.

The scales are beautiful, but definitely plastic. The blade has a lot of hone wear on it, but that doesn't mean it can't be a good shaver for you. What are your plans?

    Peace,
    Jim

Some more info and possibillities - Grandpa, was a forced worked in Reich during WWII - it's possible, that he brought the razor with him, when he returned, so it could be a german manufacturer.

I'm seriously thinking, of renovating the blade, and making it usefull once again (the scales require some renewing also, but I would like to keep them original) - who knows maybe i'll switch the traditionall gillete product, into classic, and more distinguished shaving with a blade? Time will tell - surerly it's a family history, so it stays in my hands.

I've made a second closer, and more detailed photo of a punc symbol. The scales probabily were switched, thus, they're a bit loose, and the fitting looks not original.
