    Default New Project razor

Went out at lunch today and found this at the store. I've been wanting a project razor and I think this fits the bill.

I was going to start following the hand sanding wiki and slowly polish it up, then use Lyn's Circles and pyramid to hone it up. Putting new scales on it is a little beyond my realm at the moment but who knows.

me i would clean it good and polish it with some maas before i even considered sanding it in fact unless it has red rust i probably would never sand it. but that is me, YMMV. you will be surprised what a good polish will do for a blade.
the circles and pyramid system will get you a nice edge.

    enjoy,

Hit it hard with metal polish and a shamwow, it will come out way better then you'd expect!
It kills me to look back at the couple of razors that I sanded and didnt get all the scratch lines out I wont sand blades anymore, just polish and shave!

The maas worked wonders and although I'm still learning how to use my Norton 4k/8k it took an edge nice and I got a smooth shave out of it.

Excellent to hear. There is a lot to be said for cleaning and polishing a razor before deciding to sand or otherwise abuse a blade.

    enjoy,
