help needed please. cant find any info on this razor
bought this on ebay as a gamble. bad pics, not a good description..... u know how it is. the only thing i have done to it was rub some polish on it so i could possibly see who the maker is. it looks like half a tree or bush with chaugne under it??? the scales are wasted. the side u cant see is cracked at one the the rivets. it could be a good candidate for my first restore since its probably not worth much. i would rather mess up a cheap razor than when of my more expensive ones.
anyway, has anyone heard of this maker or mark?? any info is helpfull.Last edited by cowboybebop; 02-03-2013 at 12:12 PM.

It looks like and old French STR8. Usually they are good shavers, if properly restored. Could be from the end of the XIX century.

Thanked: 4249Has started above definately a french razor. There is a Chaugne listed in 1883 as a "coutelier" or cutler, beyond any doubt this razor with a little restoration will be a fine shaver!
