Default help needed please. cant find any info on this razor

bought this on ebay as a gamble. bad pics, not a good description..... u know how it is. the only thing i have done to it was rub some polish on it so i could possibly see who the maker is. it looks like half a tree or bush with chaugne under it??? the scales are wasted. the side u cant see is cracked at one the the rivets. it could be a good candidate for my first restore since its probably not worth much. i would rather mess up a cheap razor than when of my more expensive ones.

anyway, has anyone heard of this maker or mark?? any info is helpfull.

It looks like and old French STR8. Usually they are good shavers, if properly restored. Could be from the end of the XIX century.

Has started above definately a french razor. There is a Chaugne listed in 1883 as a "coutelier" or cutler, beyond any doubt this razor with a little restoration will be a fine shaver!
