Thread: Anyone recognize this razor?

I bought this razor about a year ago and it is a fantastic shaver, takes a great edge. It doesn't appear to be very old as far as straights go but I can't find anything about this razor anywhere on the net. Anyone know anything about it?

Sorry about the pics. They show right side up on the iPad app and somehow upside down here. Also, in case the name isn't easy to read, the name of the razor is Eirene. The only hits I got on this search was for a one of these for sale in Japan a few years ago. This in fact may be the same razor. But no other information at all.

Never heard of it, though that doesn't count for much

I've got a couple "never heard of's", that shave great. The quality of the work it looks tight and appears to be made in Solingen.
