"Robeson Cutlery Co." Straight just purchased - Help with timeframe?
I just purchased a straight that is stamped Robeson Cutlery Co. for $44 on ebay. I'll post a pic as soon as I get home. Can anyone help with nailing down the approximate timeframe of this blade? My novice internet researching skill puts it between 1880 and 1920 (1920 being the time they stopped stamping with Robeson Cutlery company. The scales are an ornate black celluloid, nice and tight, but I can't tell if they are original or not.

Thanked: 4249Without any pics hard to tell but that said you can look at this tang marks list, perhaps of some help to determine the timeframe of this razor.

For some reason, I can't get the pic of the tang stamp to upload. It reads "THE ROBESON CUTLERY CO."

I can't tell you much about the history of your blade, but I can say that Robeson's are among my favorite shavers. Enjoy the new straight.
