Yes.The same sad tale was told to me from a poor soul incarcerated in the Harris County jail a few decades ago. Jail or gaol is a metaphore for life, Tom, so while you are being spoon-fed ambrosia and listening to angels strumming on their harps, I will be trying to stop my trousers catching fire.
