Thanked: 0can anyone tell me about this razor?
I know nothing about straight razors, and have inherited an old straight razor from NZ. it comes in an old brown box saying 'Geo.Wostenholme&Son' 'Sheffield.England'. On the lid it simply says 'I*XL'
When the lid is removed there is a label saying 'This razor is ground thin and finely tempered, and should be handled carefully, as razors broken through misuse cannot be exchanged' there is a pencil marking which I'm not sure about but I think is 'TA/N'
The razor itself is blunt but in good condition, it has 'Bengall' Written on what feels like a black plastic. On the steel part between the blade and the black bit it says 'T.R Cadman and sons sheffield.England' On the other side it says 'Blue Steel' 'Bengall hand forged'
Can anyone tell me anything about it?
