picked this up over the weekend
i had to go out of town for drill this weekend and along the way i stopped at a few antique shops. i found this wade and butcher 7/8-8/8 (im guessing cuz i dont have a ruler) and a star safety razor for a decent price. the wade and butcher looks great and so does the star. the scales im sure are a user grade rescale. there is movement where the razor is pinned to the scales. i assume the hole in the tang is elongated. is there a way to fix it so it doesnt move or is it just what its supposed to do?? i dont mind the scales on there now but i would prefer vintage scales. i also noticed what looks like uneven griding on the razor. if u look under where the wade and butcher stamp is, its not the way its supposed to be. it doesnt look like it was done by someone hacked at it with a grinder. what do u guys think??? will is affect the honing process???
all i have is my phone with me right now so these will have to do.
im also showing pics of the star for the heck of it.
