Thread: Picked up a new Heljestrand

Just some pitting, the picture really emphasizes it. I haven't really got heavy into polishing it yet either.

I've had 2, both were outstanding shavers, but small for size xl hands. I think of them as having the shave quality of the MK series (more fancy), but less glitz.

Heljestrand razors are some of the best razors around, the MK series are especially great razors.

I wouldn't say that there's anything unusual about it. It was made in Eskilstuna, Sweden by C.V Heljestrand.

Models MK 31, 32, 33 and 134 are the most sought after if I'm not mistaken.

Btw, IIRC "MK" is short for 'Mästerlig kvalitet' which means roughly 'masterly quality'.
"BK" stands for 'Bästa kvalitet' (best quality)

I agree Heljestrand razors are some of the best. I have a 4 and it is a great shaver and a couple of others.

"Masterly" are considered to be the better ones but "best" are almost if not in fact as good as the MKs.
