Thanked: 0Butler Straight Razor
My daughter works with a home cleaning service and came upon a Butler Straight razor and hone.
The hone does not look like it had ever been opened. The lettering on the hone box are faded, but you can make out the word Pike razor hone on the cover and it is embossed into the stone.
The razor is very clean, you can read the motto Keen as this razors edge invisible and see Shakespeare's face.
There is a small rust spot on the back of the blade and minor bluing on the hollow.
The #2 is on the base of the blade.
What do I have here and how would the more experienced members suggest I proceed.
I have been using a shavette for over a month and have read that the experience is not comparable to an actual razor.
Thanks all in advance
