Thread: picked up some new Razors!

I picked up these from a client at the barber shop I work at. they are all in pretty good shape, i was told the one item that is glass is for honing double edge razor blades? The scuttle is a brandenburg but I think it may be a fake, It has 2 horses on it and I have searched the internet and am yet to find one like it? I was hoping to find some help with dating the razors, 2 are durham, and the other 2 are weck. The smaller shave brush is a ever-ready? the other has a name on it but I cannot make it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!

Yea, the glass item does look like the one I have for honing DE blades.

Weck was a maker of early replaceable blade shavers. I used to shave tattoo customers with those. I'd throw the guard away. Personna blades fit but if you find vintage Weck blades they are better. I don't know about the Durham. I've never had one. They are some kind of hair shaping gizmo I think. They owned Wade & Butcher from the 1930s or so until they folded in the '60s IIRC.
