    Default C-MON question?

I ran across a Barber supply shop that had C-MON Cadillac 5/8 straight razors new? Any experience with these? The price was fairly low.

I haven't had one in hand but I've read that they are not up to the quality of the vintage C-Mons, hence the low price. Might be a 'you get what you pay for' situation. Like I say, I haven't held one much less shaved with one, so it is second hand info.

I did a little research here after I posted, and I pretty much got the same impression. they said it comes with a factory edge, that needs honed. I was just curious as the price tag was around $71 not that I need another straight, but as I talk to people about using a straight that are curious, when price comes up it's usually a turn off, it's just another option if their decent. Looking forward to anymore comments. the site I looked at was Barbershop supplies and barbering equipment, barber supplies

The new C-MON razors are made by Dovo, I would expect the quality to be on par with a similarly priced Dovo such as the Best Quality. My brother just got one a few weeks ago from Atlanta Barber and Beauty Supply, he is new to Straights and has not used it yet. I plan on getting one in the future. C-Mon Cadillac Straight Razor

IMO, the Peter J. Michaels (Brooklyn) and Diamond, hammered tang (Upstate NY) versions are leaps and bounds above any of the newer stuff.
